First lines...

It's funny how the very first line of the book is sometimes the most daunting to write. I have no idea if other author's feel this way because I've never googled it, but suffice it to say that the first line directs the whole rest of the manuscript for me. So it REALLY MATTERS.

And when it's not quite right it keeps me up at night.

Which is a problem I solve with ice-cream. At 2 a.m.
